Escapology!

I had a great weekend celebrating my boyfriend's birthday. We walked up Mount Snowdon and afterwards stayed at Escape Boutique Bed and Breakfast in Llandudno. It totally breaks the mould of Victorian style hotels and old fashioned B&Bs. Sam and Geanor the owners have taken inspiration from individual designers and international design shows, each room is full of fun and humour, with a funky personality and loads of charm. One room even features a red telephone box, others have bespoke headboards, vintage 60s chairs and wallpaper that was designed specifically for the hotel with Swarvoski crystals and LEDs stitched into the wallpaper! We stayed in Room 1, with a 60s electric feel! I would recommend this place to everyone!

Miss Piggy's truly naughty treats!

I used to work at a lovely little Deli in Bakewell where they did the most amazing cakes! Unfortunately the Deli closed but Lesley, the lady I worked for, has started her own business called "Miss Piggy's"! Her range is available in Harvey Nichols and online. My favourite is Delight, but if you can't decide you could always have all three!

Glastonbury!

"Are you the fellow that started it all?" is what the Queen asked Michael Eavis when he received a CBE! Well yes he did, back in 1970, the day after Jimmy Hendricks died. Admission was £1, included a free bottle of milk, and 1,500 people attended! On the eve of Glastonbury 2010 I feel sad that I will not be going! It is definitely one of my favourite places in the world, a bubble where rules don't seem to exist and an escape where everybody can loose their inhibitions! I love the photographs here, taken by Elle Dunn, I think they really capture the aura of Glastonbury! Her pictures of Trash City give me happy memories of the last night there, where free bottles of water were given out, drag queens served behind the bar and you could only get into the party if you were wearing a moustache!
